Insurance guidance is only useful if you can see who stands behind it. Every guide, product page and FAQ answer on this site is written by the editorial desk and signed off by compliance review before it goes live.

Editorial desk
The editorial desk researches and writes the guides, product explanations and FAQ answers. Its working rule is that a claim about cover, price or the law has to be traceable to a primary source: the legislation itself, DVLA or gov.uk guidance, FCA handbook material, Association of British Insurers publications, or a published insurer policy wording.

Compliance review
Compliance review reads every page that describes cover, price, or a customer's legal position, and re-reads it whenever the underlying rules change. Its job is to remove anything that implies we are an insurer or a regulated intermediary, to check that estimates are labelled as estimates, and to make sure cancellation and refund rights are stated accurately.

How a page gets published
Research and drafting from primary sources, an editorial edit for clarity and structure, then compliance sign-off. Pages carry the date they were published and the date they were last reviewed, and any page that has gone longer than six months without review is re-checked before it is left in place.
Named authors
We publish under the editorial desk and compliance review identities while individual author profiles, qualifications and photographs are finalised. When they are, each guide will carry a named author and reviewer with their background and how to contact them.
