Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with and what rights you have over it under UK GDPR.

What we collect

Identity and contact details, licence and driving history, address and vehicle information, quote and policy records, payment confirmations, and technical data such as IP address and device type.

Why we use it

To prepare your details into the template insurers require and pass them to insurers and providers who consider your request, to meet legal obligations, to prevent fraud, to handle enquiries and complaints about our own service, and — where you have consented — to send marketing. Insurers that accept your request use your data as their own controllers under their own privacy notices.

Who we share it with

Underwriting insurers and their claims handlers, vehicle and licence data providers, anti-fraud databases and registers, payment processors, and regulators or law enforcement where we are legally required to do so.

How long we keep it

Policy records are retained for at least seven years after cover ends to meet regulatory and limitation requirements. Quotes that do not convert are retained for a shorter period.

Your rights

You may request access to your data, ask for corrections, request erasure where it applies, object to or restrict processing, request portability, and withdraw marketing consent at any time. Email privacy@bluebirdinsurance.co.uk. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.

Bluebird Insurance is not an insurer, broker or insurance agent. We provide document templates and a consulting service and pass your details to third-party insurers, who decide whether to offer cover. All prices are indicative estimates, not quotations.
