Frequently asked questions
The questions we are asked most, answered without the small print.
Before you buy
You will need the vehicle registration, your driving licence details and your address history. You must have the registered keeper's permission to drive the vehicle, and both you and the vehicle must meet the insurer's acceptance criteria.
After you submit
We prepare your details and forward them to insurers. If an insurer accepts, it issues the certificate and schedule to you directly and registers the policy on the Motor Insurance Database. Keep that certificate accessible on your phone — it is the document a police officer will ask about. You are not insured until you hold it.
